My Background

I earned my Ph.D. in Chemistry from the UC San Diego / San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program, where my research focused on coordination chemistry and electrochemistry.

While in grad school, I taught both General and Organic Chemistry labs and mentored over a dozen undergraduate researchers, many of whom went on to top Ph.D. programs, including the University of Pennsylvania and ICIQ in Spain.
